Mondrian UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Mondrian Maps is a mobile location-based service that gives more meaning to the world because it visualizes the subjective experience of users on a map. At variance with other recommendation services, it is able to map the entire scope of emotional experience from excitement to depression and from stress to relaxation. Furthermore, users enter information in a flash and data aggregation results in a beautifully colored "affective heat-map" that gives the value of things and of more extended areas.
To orient themselves in the world, people need to know the location as well as the value of things or of more extended areas. Traditional location-based services provide only the location of things (e.g. Google Maps) and, sometimes, value of things in the guise of lengthy texts and crude like/don´t like ratings (e.g. Qype). At variance, Mondrian Maps is able to map the entire scope of emotional experience from excitement to depression and from stress to relaxation. To do that, every kind of possible feelings that users have about things has a corresponding color on the map. Algorithms aggregate the data over the users so that a beautiful "affective heat-map" shows the general feelings about things at higher zoom levels and about extended areas at lower zoom levels. To share experience, no need of extensive involvement with the app that distracts from real life: users can enter their feeling in a flash which is then automatically paired with their GPS location. Finally, the sharing and the aggregation of feelings is organized along meaningful categories like "nightlife", "eating", "architecture", "shopping" or "events", etc.
Thus, Mondrian Maps offers an objective picture of subjective opinions about the world.
