BetterTaxi

The mobile application BetterTaxi provides convenient and ecological booking of taxis via smartphone. You can drive on your own or share your ride.
The various options such as pre-booking and payment via smartphone allow to select a taxi according to your very personal needs. Besides the normal cab ride, BetterTaxi provides taxisharing. If you want to share your ride, BetterTaxi searches for other passengers who will depart at the same time and head to a similar direction. BetterTaxi takes care of the matching process and calculates route and fare to make taxisharing a simple and convenient option that helps you save money. As well, it is a contribution to save limited ressources.
The ecological aspect is important for BetterTaxi as we want to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions by taxis. BetterTaxi will therefore compensate the carbon emission of every BetterTaxi ride. Our partner ARKTIK GmbH will invest our contributions in sustainable projects.
BetterTaxi launches in Berlin and will expand in further German and international cities.

Information: With its smartphone application BetterTaxi the BetterTec GmbH wants to make taxi driving more comfortable and more sustainable. The app offers booking of normal rides and taxisharing. We want to implement taxisharing as a real alternative of modern transportation. BetterTec is one out of several enterprises which work on more sustainable concepts of mobility and support living without a personal car.
