Marketing

Acquired know-how and resources emanating from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, could be easily commercialised and marketed via the Humboldt-Innovation. This makes perfect sense e.g. for the marketing of user rights for archive materials and picture databases. 
Humboldt-Innovation itself actively operates the merchandising. The well known brands of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Berlin Museum of Natural Science are presented and merchandised in a sophisticated and sensitive way.


Opening of Humboldt-Flagship-Store

In due time to the bicentenary anniversary year of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the new Humboldt-Flagship-Store has opened its doors in november 2009. A wide range of merchandise products as well as the new Humboldt-Collection HU BLN is presented for sale on two floors in the entrance hall of the main building.

The Humboldt-Innovation runs various marketing projects for the Humboldt-Universität and the Berlin Museum of Natural History:
  • HumboldtStore - the official merchandise Shop of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
  • Humboldt Excursions - Germany's first university travel programme
  • The official museum shop of the Berlin Museum of Natural History (over 100 square metres in size)
  • Humboldt University tours - which lead visitors through the Humboldt University, allowing them to explore and discover the work-places of the Humboldt's renowned scientists.

Licences
Humboldt-Innovation is responsible for merchandising initiatives relating to the Humboldt-Universität and its associates. Archives such as the Animal Sound Archive, the Phoneme Archive and the Picture Archives, are actively marketed by the HI, in addition to other university resources.
